Those Cheeks!

Don't you just want to kiss on them?

Lukah is 2 months old. At his 8 week checkup he weighed 13.10 lbs! And was 24 5/8 inches. His weight is in the 93% and his height is in the 95%. His head was in the 75% though I don't remember what it measured...down from the 85% it was at his 2 wk appt. This means he's the size of most 3.5 month olds and easily fits in the 3-6 month clothes.

Some developmental things to note:

~He is now sleeping between 6-9 hours in a stretch at night with another 3-5 hour stretch typically making 12-13 hours total.

~He has been dishing out smiles much more consistently which means we are all doing silly voices to try to get one of his beautiful smiles.

~He has found his hands. It was hard to take his 2 month pictures because he had his hands in his mouth the entire time.

~His brothers continue to dote on him. The other night at the dinner table we each said something we were thankful for and Kadyn's was Lukah and Kai. About 10 minutes later we were talking about best friends and Kai said that Lukah was his...and then made sure to add Kadyn too :) I so love that these boys adore each other so much. Sure they can push each other's buttons like no one else can, but their friendship is truly special. And I LOVE how much they adore their baby brother.

~Baby acne is gone though it has been traded for some mild cradle cap.

~Lukah is such a happy baby...as long as I don't eat/drink soy. I also have very limited dairy still.

~Lukah loves being on his back during awake time. He'll coo and kick away and that is when he'll flash his best and biggest smiles.

For the love of fall

I get giddy when I see pumpkins. My favorite time of year. We had such an amazing, perfect temperature summer that it has allowed us to truly welcome and appreciate the cooler, crisp days and nights that fall has brought. We took full advantage this past weekend and spent the entire weekend doing all things fall. We went downtown the Fall Fest where the boys were able to paint their annual pumpkins, we sipped on hot chocolate and by mid day were able to shed our coats to soak in the sun. The next day we went out to the pumpkin patch where the boys got to ride the animal train and help Grammy pick some pumpkins for her front porch.

6 weeks old

This past Sunday marked 6 weeks!

He is still sleeping a lot during the day but has become much more interactive during his awake periods by making eye contact, cooing, animatedly kicking his legs, and he has begun to discover that his arms are attached.
