More to remember

It's fun watching the kids as they are beginning to interact more together. We're noticing more and more differences between the two...

1. Kai is fascinated with electrical outlets. Kadyn was never interested. Kai on the other hand is ALWAYS trying to stick something in them. Whenever we can't hear Kai we know where to find him.

2. Kadyn has very long legs. Kai has very short legs, but a longer torso.

3. Kai is a great player. He will fly a plane around the house or drive his cars along the ground. Kadyn is just now starting to do more of that.

4. Kai is much more sensitive.

5. Kai loves sleep. He sleeps from 8 - 8+ and then takes a 2-3 hr nap. Kadyn sleeps from 8 - 6:30 and doesn't nap.


We're also noticing more similarities...

1. They both have their gorgeous blue eyes and long eye lashes.

2. They both LOVE to be outside...no matter the weather.

3. They are both happy kids.

4. They are both oh so loud.

5. Kai has discovered climbing...something his brother loves. We're now finding him trying to climb up the bunk bed ladder (ugh) and attempting to climb on everything at the park.

6. They love sharing a room.

7. They can both be very shy upon first introduction. Maybe coy is a better word.


Some things unique to their ages:

1. Kai is in the "uh-oh" stage. We remember clearly his brother going through this; everything is an "uh-oh." However, as I've mentioned before, Kai also loves to "name" who an item belongs to. He'll walk around the house pointing to things...e.g. "mama" while pointing at my coat.

2. Kadyn had his first imaginary friend today. It's a pet mouse named "mousey." It lived in the chair in our living room until Kadyn took it upon himself to create a real home for it out of a kleenex box.

3. Kadyn doesn't take naps anymore. He does have quiet time though.

4. Kai's words (other than uh-oh)
Bo Bo -- Boulder
Ma -- More
Mama -- Mama; he's also started using Mom :(
Dada -- Dada
Ga Ga -- Grammy
Nana -- Nana
Papa -- Papa
Ba Da -- Brother
Uh -- Up
Ba -- Ball
Wow -- Wow
Mmmm -- Yum
uh uh -- (said with the "no" connotation) VERY good at this one
And the default word...Ba ba -- (these each have slightly different fluctuations and always a finger point to go with it so we can usually decipher what he's saying) Drink, banana, balloon...pretty much everything else.

5. Kai is a really good pointer to get what he wants.

6. Kadyn insists that he doesn't want any more siblings "we already have mommy, daddy, kadyn, kai, and boulder...that's too many already."

7. Kadyn is obsessed with rocks; Kai with balls. I hope they find something else entertaining because a Rock/Ball themed birthday party might be pretty boring. ;)
