Baby's Best Friend

This is my Boulder. He likes to jump on the couch and cuddle with me. He lets me pull on him and doesn't even flinch. Boulder also brings me his toys and drops them at my feet hoping I will throw them for him. And when I don't...boy does Boulder have a loud bark. All in all, he's a good doggy. Daddy says that when I get bigger we'll be the best of friends. I love doggies.

Where'd it go?

I was happily eating my puffs and drinking my apple juice when my puff disappeared. Mommy said I looked like such a big boy eating and drinking all by myself. This food stuff is fun.

Watch out world

Here I come! I've been practicing pulling myself up when I hold on to people's fingers.
And I'm a sitting fool now. And whenever I topple over it's that darn red birdie's fault.
Note to family and friends: I'm having a bit of a mommy complex right now. Don't take it personally if I push off of you and reach out my arms to try to get to my mom. Or, if my mom is in my eyesight, don't feel bad if I start fussing because I would rather have her hold me.

Little Monkey Kadyn?

My Grammy thinks she's so funny. I'm not so sure. But for those that haven't seen my in awhile...my faux-hawk is still standing tall :)

Don't forget I'm 1/2 a year old!

So, I couldn't post about my big day on Sunday, because I had to save that day for my dad. But, now I can proudly say that I'm 6 months old. Tomorrow I have my check up and shots and I'll see how much I've grown. I just wanted to let you all see my progression over the past 6 months. Remember from 3 months ago how mommy takes my picture next to the monkey? Well...
This is my 6 month picture next to my monkey. Notice I am sitting up like a big boy. I am officially sleeping through the night in my crib. I'm eating all kinds of good food now. I learned how to roll to get places and things I want. I just got my first cold today. And I started swim lessons this week.

This was my 3 month picture. I still needed back support when I was sitting up then.

This was my 1 week picture. I wasn't even as big as the monkey then. I've more than doubled my weight since then.

A side note: I said I would tell you about how my daddy went to Alaska. He was gone from Saturday and he was there when I woke up on the following Friday morning. He went with his daddy and brother. It seemed like an awfully long week...at least that's what mommy kept saying. It was her hardest week of work, we had our roof redone, and Boulder couldn't go to doggy daycare because the yard was getting relandscaped. And to top it all off, the first night daddy was gone our power went out so we packed up all our things and went to Grandma Roxanne's house. I got to sleep in bed with mommy and Grandma. It was so much fun that when I woke up at 2:00am I wanted to play. Mommy didn't think that was so fun though and quickly put a stop to that. But, Daddy had a good time and made it back safely.

Me and My Dad

My daddy is my leader and my protector. My daddy is my provider and my spiritual role model. My daddy is my hero and I love him so much.
Confidently, humbly, faithfully. A father often serves behind the scenes. But this little boy is watching and his daddy's example sets the course for a bright future. A daddy's role is irreplaceable, his leadership commendable. He's a commonplace hero deserving nothing short of noble recognition. ~Dr. James Dobson

Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad. (P.S. My Papa brought this hat back for me from Alaska...more about that tomorrow)

Waterfall Update

So I've figured out how to get that darn waterfall into my mouth...just grab the faucet, stick your tongue out and wait for the water to fall in.
I've also figured out how much fun in it is to splash all, yes ALL, the water out of the tub. I just kick my legs and watch mommy go running for towels. Daddy said it's time to retire to the big boy tub where I can splash all I want and not get water everywhere. What fun is that?

Look at me sit up like a big boy. That darn towel was blocking the water from my splashing. I wanted it out of the way so the water would go everywhere.

Hey, wait a minute...you mean I can get out of this thing?

Yup. See you later alligator. I just made mommy's life a lot harder because I realized how to get out of the tub, and my swing, and my bouncy chair.
