Mini Reunion

Hard to believe a week has gone by since our Grandpa was in town and we all went to Sunriver for a mini family reunion. It was a whirlwind weekend of family, food, and fun. With 6 kids under 6 and a 9 year old it was bound to be lots of energy. Needless to say, despite some throw up, bad habits learned, and way too late of bed times, we are very excited at the possibility of making it a yearly tradition.

Helping prepare dinner.

My first experience with a video game. By the look on my 2nd cousin's face I think I was creaming him :)

Lots of willing and eager hands to hold my baby brother.

Right before daddy was further ambushed (you can see the windup before the swing of the pillow).

And mommy had to tack on the picture below...it's $32.46 worth of groceries.

6 (2 packs) Dove Bar Soap
5 Dove Sensitive Skin Bodywash (what the Dr recommended I use)
3 Dove Shampoo
2 Dove Conditioner

Heaven and Hell

This past Wednesday I had a lesson on Heaven and Hell. Mommy, Daddy, Grammy, Pops and Uncle Anders brought me to a magical place that I'm sure has to be what Heaven is like. I got to fly an airplane, drive a car, fly a plane, ride in a canoe, ride on a camel, and ride on a dragon. Kai even tasted mana (aka French Fries).

Unfortunately, we also had to have a lesson in Hell. Needless to say, Hell and I are not friends and I INSISTED that Satan (aka the man operating the roller coaster) STOP and let me off.

8 months old

I can't believe that Kai will already be 8 months old tomorrow.

Kai...
--Just got his first tooth yesterday.
--Had an ear infection that lasted 1 month.
--Has been having a hard time sleeping well (see above)
--Has become much more active but still has no interest in crawling.
--Went to the pool for the first time this past weekend. Took awhile to get to use to but ultimately loved it.
--Has started a small amount of separation/stranger anxiety.
--Has come to enjoy food; especially crackers and puffs.
--Wants whatever his brother has.
--Has to weigh at least 20 lbs but haven't officially weighed him for a few weeks. He was 19 lbs 10 oz several weeks ago.

Some funnies (or not so funny) from the past few weeks:
**Kai was blowing/spitting his food at breakfast. I said "No, Kai. We don't spit our food." He went in to meltdown because I told him no. Sensitive?
**Kai snatched his brother's much cherished 'special blankie' and was playing with it. Kadyn snatched it back which pissed off Kai who proceeded to go in to a screaming/crying fit. Temper?
**Kadyn can get Kai to laugh more than any other family member. He was sitting in the back seat of the car today saying "french fries" and Kai thought it was hysterical. Adoration?

New Summer Do

After weeks of complaining that I was too hot and itchy my mom and dad finally gave in and cut my hair. Well, I should say that mommy attempted to cut my hair. She was oh so brave to do so only because she knew that I had an appointment to actually get it professionally cut 2 days later (don't have pictures of that yet). I look quite handsome though it's taken some getting use to for everyone around me. I went from a toddler to a preschooler overnight in my looks.

**New Kadyn "Tricks"**
--Officially out of diapers, though not out of pull-ups yet.
--Offers "options" to mommy and daddy..."Daddy, you have two choices. Would you rather let me turn on the hose and play in my pool or we can go to the boat park."
--Still loves loves loves bugs. ALL bugs. Fascinated by bugs.
--Speaks with logic and understanding. Hmmm. Are we in trouble here?
