Leaf Jumpers

While our cousins Isak and Ben are buried under snow and building snowmen, we are fortunate to be still enjoying fall. One of our favorite fall activities is leaf jumping though we don't have many of our own to play in. So, we head down to the park, rake in tow, and have at it.
Hard to believe this guy is going to be 3 so soon!

Mommy was trying to get us to pose in the leaves for a picture. She said "Okay, peek out." I tried to show Kai how to do it.
 He got a little confused.
And while I was busy posing, Kai spotted something in the distance.
 He saw our FRIENDS!
So we decided that leaf throwing was way more fun than leaf jumping.

Sawyer was able to get the biggest armful despite being the youngest...we have a thing or two to learn from him.

Oh how did you get to be so grown up already Kadyn?
Our Little Monkey climbing the tree. Glad I made it over to him when I did as he had already scaled 5 branches high.
Fall days are made even better (didn't realize that was possible) with good friends. Now for a delicious cup of cider.

Just can't get enough

Bring out the vests and sweaters. Listen to the leafs crunch beneath your feet. Cool crisp mornings, comfortable days. Smell the hot apple cider and hot cocoa before you take a sweet sip. And oogle at pumpkins galore. Welcome to my fall. Oh fall how I love you.

Kadyn picked and edited this picture by himself.
And this one too.

Kadyn and Kai: "Mommy, the sun is TOO bright. We can't look."
Mommy: "Okay, then when we say 3 look up. 1, 2, 3..."
Not quite what I imagined as our family photo.
Attempt at family photo #2.
Mommy: "Okay boys, the sun isn't in your eyes this time. Give your very best smile."
And they gave their very best forced smile.

Attempt #3 at a family photo

More fall bliss

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE fall?

I love fall.

There I said it.

And I will probably say it again in the next several posts that I do about fall.

And I will not apologize.

Because I love it that much.

This weekend was another accumulation of all things wonderfully fall. We went to the pumpkin patch (pictures some time in the next few days), baked banana bread, baked pumpkin bread, made homemade chili and corn bread, went to the pumpkin patch again (yes, those pictures will be posted too), and even a fall crafting project created by the boys.

Highlighting the paint job on the pinecones.

We are all very proud of how the centerpiece turned out. Nicely done boys.
