While the rest of the country is covered in snow...

It was another beautiful, albeit windy, day again. If it weren't for the wind it would have been 60. The plants are all getting buds on them. Yes, this is in a ski resort town all while the rest of the country is covered in snow. However, since it's only mid-February we know that many a frost may still come. All those poor buds. But it's made for some great mid-winter outings and we're taking advantage. We took the bikes to NWX (local neighborhood with great sidewalks for bikes and fun playground for a biking break).

"Mommy, let's play Peek-a-boo"
"Mooommmm. That's not how you do it. You're supposed to be on the other side."
A little timid...(yes, it might surprise you, but he does have timid moments)
 Hmm. Still not so sure.
"Kai, this is how yo do it!"
Decided to turn around and hold on for dear life on the way down the stairs.
Ditching the slide to off-road his strider bike instead.
And every good rider needs a riding break.
Playing hide-and-seek by bike. "Mommy, you find me right here. Otay?"
 Proof the bushes are budding.

Kadyn's turn.
 Monkey see...
 Monkey do.
Kai is getting great at balancing.
When we returned home the kids wanted to put on their new rain boots (we finally found some too Cousin Isak!) and grab their umbrellas. No, it's not raining. In fact, the sun was shining brightly. But who in their right mind would say no to a great photo op?

Hope you're having a nice weekend too!
