Daddy says moms are special people...I agree

What a special Mother's Day. I gave mommy the best present I knew how...I slept for 10 straight hours so she could get some good sleep. I was quite tickled with myself. We had 4 generations together for the special day...3 generations of mothers.
I helped Daddy pick out some flowers for mommy. The yellow one's were my favorite. I couldn't understand why they wouldn't let me eat the flowers though.
Happy Mother's Day to all you moms out there. What a wonderful gift it is...to be a mother.

Hey...this isn't milk!

I went to the Dr.'s last week for my 4 month check up. Yup...4 months. He told mommy that I can move to big boy food aka Rice Cereal. I wasn't so sure about this white, cold stuff. I refused to open my mouth actually. But, once I gave it a chance, I decided it was lip smackin good.

On another note, I weigh 15 lbs. 14 oz. putting me in the 75 % for weight. And I am almost 27 inches long putting me in the 93% for height. WOW. No wonder mommy always makes daddy carry my carseat to and from the car. I'm a big boy.

Bouncy, Bouncy, Bouncy, Bounce

yeah! My own jumperoo! I went to Sam's house last Friday and got to play on his jumperoo. I had so much fun that I begged mommy to get me my own. She says this is the modern day Johnny Jump Up. Daddy said it's a good thing we can't afford a table and chairs right now because all of my toys take up so much space. Hehe.

Mommy's turn to write

Before you were conceived we wanted you.
Before you were born we loved you.
Before we knew you a moment we would die for you.
This is the miracle of love.
~~Maureen Hawkins
A year ago today our lives changed forever. We found out that I was pregnant. It’s hard to believe that it’s been a year. Although unexpected, what an amazing blessing. Kadyn has brought us so much joy…more than we would have ever dreamed. A year ago today we were filled with so many emotions...fear, uncertainty, excitement, happiness, anticipation. We didn't know if the life growing inside me would be a boy, or a girl. We didn't know when the baby would be born, how much it would weigh, what it would look like, smell like, feel like. We didn't know what it would be like to be parents. Basically, what we knew was the unknown. And now, a year later, we sit here with a 16 week old, beautiful baby boy. We've only known him on the outside for 16 weeks, but it feels like a lifetime. Birthdays have a whole new meaning to me now. And being a parent? There is nothing like it in the whole world. We love you Kadyn, with all our hearts. A year ago today we were blessed with you. What a year it's been. We fell in love with you without even knowing you. And now, as a 16 week old baby, you are so fun to watch grow. We love seeing your pudgy little arms stretch out as you learn that they are connected to your body. We love watching you look around and explore the world, taking everything in. Our hearts melt when you look at us with recognition and smiles. You are ours…what we created. We love the squeels you make. We love you from your outstretched hand down to the tips of your big toes (sorry for that by the way!). We would do anything for you Kadyn James. We pray that God blesses every part of you, watches over you, protects you, keeps you in His love and His care because there will be so many times that we won't be able to keep you under our protective wings. And if we think we love you with all our hearts, God's heart is even bigger. We feel so blessed that He has entrusted us with you.

Easter

Mommy wanted to do an Easter photo shoot. She dressed me in my cute pastel bunny outfit and sat me down on the couch. I was much too interested in the basket full of toys she sat me next to and I never looked at the camera. But boy did mommy sure try some pretty silly things to try to get me to look at her. This picture was taken right before I snatched that yellow thing mommy called a "Duck" and put in it my mouth.
Boulder was supposed to get his picture taken next to the bunny, but he thought it made a much nicer pillow. And yes, he is asleep on the couch like this almost every night. Daddy calls him King Boulder.

When mommy tried to have me take a picture with the bunny, I thought it was much more fun to eat his long ears.

Mommy thought that I would look cute in the Easter basket...you can see my amusement. All in all, this photo shoot was a bust. (But my oh my, look at how big my tummy is. You would think I already get to eat that sweet stuff daddy talks about...I think it's called CANDY!)

Happy Birthday Grandma

Happy Birthday Grandma! I love you so much. I hope you had a great birthday. Thanks for taking care of me while mommy and daddy work.
