Where has the year gone?

Last year at this time my mommy and daddy were anxiously awaiting the arrival of me. Mommy sure was HUGE and Daddy was...well...not (although he claims he gained sympathy weight). They just been reminiscing a lot lately so I thought I'd post a picture of me last year at this time.

Happy Thanksgiving

It's tradition around here to go out into the woods the day after Thanksgiving to get our Christmas tree. Mom got up early (4:15am) in order to purchase a new winter coat for me, as well as some snow pants and boots.

My boots didn't fit right so I found them rather uncomfortable. Then, they laughed at me and told me I looked like the little boy in the movie The Christmas Story. Maybe I'll know what they meant when I get bigger.

I was a good sport and hiked up the whole mountain in search of the perfect tree. Well, ok...I didn't hike, but I let everyone carry me the whole way.

After a long days work this little guy had to take a seat and have some animal cookies. It was great...I had the whole chair and the WHOLE bag to myself. Everyone else was busy eating chili and fudge but I was quite content.

Here are some pictures of my whole family.

Look what a difference a year makes!!! I went last year too...only I was in my mommy's tummy and there was a TON of snow.

In anticipation of my big day!

Just to refresh everyone's memory...every month mommy puts me next to this silly monkey and takes my picture.
This month I thought the monkey was much too boring to sit next to for very long...Boulder makes a much better monkey.

The only difference between this picture and the one above is...well, everything.

Mommy is planning my birthday party as we speak. Invitations will follow soon, but the big day is the day before my big day...December 16 from 1-3pm. You are all invited!!

11 Months Old--almost birthday time!!

Here are a hodge podge of pictures most of which sum up my past month:

  • Mommy is pretty sure that it's official...my eyes are going to stay blue. Against a blue shirt they are bluer than blue.
  • I am now a master walker. Note to readers: As soon as I master this running thing I will prefer that mode of transportation.
  • I am learning to brush my teeth...yup, that's plural. See my teeth? I now have both bottom teeth.
  • I'm starting to become very independent...I like to play with people, but am quite content playing by myself. I like to do things my way.
  • I love to feed myself and I hate bibs (I pull them off).
  • I am very good at expressing how I feel about something, especially if I dislike it.
  • I still prefer to have my pants off at night and be a "naked baby." In fact, I put up such a fuss if I have them on that usually mommy just takes them off right after dinner.
  • I participated in my first Halloween.
  • Boulder and I are best buddies. I share my food with him and he lets me play/hang/pull all over him. It's great.
  • I have figured out every single button in my house. I know how to turn everything on and off, open and close, etc.
  • Mommy didn't hear it but I said Nana!! And Mommy is pretty sure I said Boulder..."Ba-da"
  • I hate my car seat. I dislike my stroller. Pretty much anything that restrains me I don't like.

Joining the WALKING club!

It's official! Much to Mommy's dismay, I am now an avid walker. She says it is WAY too early for me to be walking...she isn't ready for this yet. I have lots of owies to prove my new ability still needs some perfection, but I get better every day.

Happy Halloween!!

Tonight we are going to my friend Abby's house to celebrate Halloween. You will never guess what I went as?!?!

I thought I was pretty cute stuff. And of course...so did everyone else :) I did find it hard to practice my new walking skills in the outfit. It was pretty top heavy so I kept losing my balance.

PSA!!! I'm officially a WALKER!!!

As soon as my mommy and daddy can get technologically savvy and can figure out how to upload video footage I'll show off my new trick.
