Kai turns 2

November 21
All 9.8 lbs--do you SEE the size of him?
Kai Isaac
Happy Birthday sweet boy. Hard to believe that TWO years ago you joined our family. We continue to "rejoice in your laughter."

Some things I want to remember about you, Kai, at this moment:

*You are a bashful flirt. You love to give coy smiles and then bury your face into me or hide behind my legs.
*You are obsessed with your cowboy boots. Fortunately, they are a bit big still so you have some time to grow in to them.
*You adore your big brother. You LOVE to do and say everything he is.
*You have become our commentator. You repeat the last word of every sentence on TV.
*You are so happy and proud (as you should be!) of all the words you're learning. Your vocabulary grows by leaps and bounds every day.
*You use the potty when prompted, but don't make the conscious decision on your own yet.
*You've enjoyed some quality 1 on 1 time while Kadyn's been in preschool.
*You are finally getting interested in sitting through the duration of a book. I love that you always want to sit on my "yap" when we read. And, I love that you get so excited about the animals on each page that you have to shout them out to me.
*You never confused "me" and "you" like so many kids do. Everything is just "me."
*You are still our great sleeper. Though you've been waking up earlier to spend a few a minutes with me before I head to work and to watch a "movie" you're still taking 3+ hour naps.
*You love babies. You get down on the floor with them, lay on your tummy and sit and stare forever.
*You're entering the very independent stage. You want to do everything on your own. "Ah, ME!"
*You've started to put 2 words together.
*You have no fear. We are SO in trouble. T.R.O.U.B.L.E

We are doing a joint birthday party for the boys the first weekend in December. They are so excited to have a pirate birthday. And fortunately, they are so excited to have it together. Not too sure how many more birthdays we'll get away with it being joint.
