Happy Easter!

Inherited his mama's sweet tooth.
Practicing their back floats in the tub--brought on by their desire to play with their Easter duckies.
Not too sure what Kadyn's doing here...I thought kissing; only that would be one heck of a kiss. Ryan and I gave him a Bible for Christmas, but he said it wasn't real because it didn't have gold on it. So, Nana and Papa made sure their "Easter Bunny" brought a real Bible.
Kai's new shades.
The singing bunny. Brought so many beautiful smiles.

Check out Kai's teeth in this picture. Matches the color of the bunny.

Spending some quality time

As you've probably been able to tell, lately our favorite past time is going on a bike ride with Mommy and Daddy. Kai is the dare devil...here he is about to go down a little hill on his strider bike. And yes ladies, everyone comments on how "cute" he is on his little bike.
So I found that I had to one up him and learned how to ride my bike (with pedals!) WITHOUT training wheels. I actually learned this party trick last weekend just after Daddy tried to bribe me with $2. However, that wasn't even close to what I wanted. Mommy knew right away what would get me to try and she offered me 10 minutes on the computer playing pbskids. Needless to say, 2 minutes later...
Kai couldn't believe it either and had to tell Boulder all about it.

I was shocked that he was so doubtful.
But I put it behind me.
Kai, being Kai, had to do the same exact thing.
And since Kai is very much in the Monkey See, Monkey Do phase, I decided to show him how to pull his own weight, or lift it.
As usual, he caught on right away. And again, I was shocked.
Daddy, said "Ne-ner, ne-ner, I told you so." He never doubts either of our capabilities.
We're pretty lucky to have such a great dad that believes we can do anything and everything!
Kadyn told me this was his "very best smile."

Boys will be boys

This weekend the weather was gorgeous. Definitely not hot but beautifully sunny. So, we took full advantage. We went on a hike and took Boulder for a swim.
Boys and their dog...best friends. Boulder loves when the kids throw the stick because he's able to retrieve it so much faster.

Kadyn had to show Boulder where the stick was a few times.
And the view that Mommy is getting all too use to seeing these days...everyone speeding ahead and leaving her in the dust.
And last weekend we baked banana bread together. The boys wanted to be "chefs" but we didn't have chef's hats...so, snow hats it was. Along with their crafting smocks from Nana. And they insisted they didn't want to wear shirts underneath.
And when they had enough of that we played dress up...or lack there of.
Kai, please don't hate me for this picture when you get older  because you look so cute!

Still February

Just a few days after the last post occurred we woke up to 10 inches of snow! It broke all kinds of tree branches across town and allowed for sledding in our backyard.

After these pictures were taken I went on a picture taking lul for about a month since I knew we were out of storage space on the blog. Sad I know. But, since these were taken both boys have had hair cuts, I've gone to Chicago and back for work leaving the boys home alone with Ryan for 4 1/2 days, and the weather has gone in and out of snow, warm, windy, cold, warm (you know, typical weather around these parts). We've been on hikes, both boys have started swim lessons, and we've spent many a day at the High Desert Museum.  We've celebrated wonderful birthdays too! Wow, it's been a busy 2 months.

Taken in February...has it really been 2 months?!

For those that are on Facebook, you've already seen several of these. However, I still wanted them documented on here. In February we spent a lot of time riding strider bikes and spending time outside.

I love the bond of brothers. Kai is ever copying Kadyn and Kadyn is fully accepting of it.

Arms in the air dismount!

Showing brother how it's really done.

Love.

Purchased more storage...so stay tuned for a new post

Finally. I caved and purchased more storage. It's only $5/year and I wanted to keep it all on the same page. So...stay tuned for some new posts. :)
