Messing around with camera settings

My Uncle "On-dee" (Anders) was messing around with the different settings on his camera when he took these pictures on the train in to NYC. We love love love these pics and can't decide which one to frame. What do you think?

Did I mention my brother's in the double digits?

As promised, the remainder of the pictures of my trip to Connecticut/New York City. Here's a pic of us finally arriving. Mommy and daddy let me sleep in and fly in my jammies. I highly recommend this. Just don't forget to bring a pair of crocks to add to your attire.

Here's my 2nd cousin Hannah. We don't look related at all do we?
On the train in to NYC I fell asleep almost before the train took off. My little brother makes a great pillow...until he kicks.

I was pretty grouchy when we first arrived in NYC so we made a dash to Central Park. There was a great water park there with fountains and a maze of water that I had so much fun jumping in. Grouchiness gone.

Did you know Central Park is the 2nd largest park in the US and would take over 4 hours to walk? Wow. And to think we hit the best part in a matter of minutes.

After lunch we went to FAO Schwartz. If heaven were a place on earth, it would be in this amazing toy store. It was 3 stories of bliss.

My new favorite thing is trains. Well, not really just any trains, THOMAS the TANK ENGINE...but this train was really cool.
After a long day in the city I had to take a second nap of the day. For all those of you that know me and my sleeping patterns...this was a BIG deal and had to be documented.
And the trip wouldn't be complete without a picture of my Mommy, Daddy, Uncle Anders, Grammy, Great Grandma and Great Grandpa. What a special time with everyone.

If anyone needs a tour guide, let me know. I'm the little man for the job.

Visiting the Greats

I went to visit my Great Grandparents in Connecticut two weeks ago (has it really already been 2 weeks?) The last leg of our flight was cancelled flying in to JFK so we spent the night Detroit Michigan allowing me to add yet another state to my map (see the very bottom of my blog). Since I didn't have a pack n play there I got to sleep with mommy and daddy!! We went in a "He-Peen" (Airplane) and everyone said that I couldn't have been any better :)

I was resting up so I could see my "Greats" and extended family. I was very excited to see there were other kids there...mommy's cousins, my 2nd cousins...Hannah, Lydia and Jillian. I loved the babies and was quite good at giving hugs. (I'm pretty sure the identical twin that's facing me is Lydia and the one facing you is Jillian)

The picture above was before things got a little crazy. Below? Hmm. Enough said.
And if the balloons weren't crazy enough, our noses turned RED!!

Below is mommy's uncle. It was about this moment that I realized I must take after my mommy's side of the family.

More pics to come from my trip!!

Already well into August and a lot of posts rolled into one

Here is my mommy getting bigger by the day with my little brother. She's almost 25 wks here. He's an active little guy and has a good strong heart beat of 140 though he's been wrecking havoc on mommy. The one good thing is that every time mommy has to go potty, I get to go potty in my big boy potty too and get "Kahn-dee" afterwards. I've been eating a lot of candy lately as a result. See, I knew this big brother things wouldn't be so bad.

I went to my first Deschutes County Fair this weekend. I got to see all kinds of animals and even ride on a horse. Mommy decided that if I get involved in 4H it should be in sheep.

A lady took this picture so sorry this one is so dark...(although we don't mention the D-A-R-K word in our house anymore because it sends me to instant tears)
After observing all of the barns of animals I decided that if my mommy were a nice mommy she would let me raise pigs (it's not that I liked the pigs...actually they scared me a bit because their hair is really sharp and one tried to eat my foot) because pigs are the animals that all the pretty girls were raising.

Here's proof...this pig was after my foot. I think he really just wanted my cool crocks.

Let's see...lots of candy, a fun time at the fair, playing outside with Boulder...what more could a guy hope for?

So far August has been pretty great.

Yard Work Saturday

On Saturday my mommy and daddy spent the entire day doing yard work. I helped, of course.

By help, I mean that I played in the dirt, I played with the hose, and I realized that dirt and water makes MUD! Here is where it all happened.

Mud makes a great place to splash and play. Here's the proof on my shoes.

And the proof on my face (this is even after daddy washed my whole face off in the hose because he didn't want all the dirt getting in my eyes).

I played so hard outside all day that my diaper was so full that it pulled my pants down. Mommy told me she was taking the picture above of my back (I think she really wanted to show everyone my cute butt crack though).

Best Buddies

I spent the afternoon at my friend Sam's house playing with him in his pool, sandbox and with his new TRUCK. I'm the designated passenger and Sam is the designated driver. Sam's mommy said "Can't you just picture them driving off in high school?" Mommy agreed. Only she said "here comes trouble." We make a great team!!

Rare Form

Just an update for those not around me every day regarding new words: all of my old words have become new in the last week because I've decided that the best way to talk is to add an "ie" "ee"or a "y" to the end of everything. So, Boulder comes "Bowl-dee" and Mama becomes "mommy", dada "daddy", Nana "Nah-knee", Papa "Pa-pee", ball "ballie", etc.

Some new words though include: "Pie" for Up High, "Boon" for balloon, "Pa-tee" for Party (though this sounds exactly like Potty), "moo" for moon and for the noise a cow makes, "Hot" although I say hot when it's cold too (I just recognize a different sensation), "dak" for dark, "pay" for pray and "body" for nobody and somebody. Mommy calls me a sponge so watch what you say around me :)

My favorite toy as of late is my Mr. Potato Head. Well, that and anything I shouldn't be getting in to. I have also become quite a story teller and get very excited when you understand what I'm saying. I can put together 2+ words to tell you about something...although there is usually a very big pause. For example--"Na-knee" pause for 5 seconds "dak" pause for 5 more seconds "no". To tell you about how I was in a dark room with Nana and it scared me.
